- 2 tbsp cane sugar
- 20 g fresh ginger
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 shallot
- 100 ml soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons of honey
- 20 ml rice wine
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 3 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- Pinch of salt and pepper

Preparation:
- Slice the chicken breast and place in a saucepan. Mix the soy sauce, rice wine, honey and a pinch of pepper to make a sauce. Cut the garlic, ginger and shallot into small cubes and add to the sauce and pour this over the meat. Simmer on low heat for 20-30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cut the spring onion. Sweat with the cane sugar in a pan and let it caramelize. Put the pan aside and let it cool down.
- Take the meat out of the pot. Add the starch to the sauce with a dash of water, stir and bring to the boil briefly until the sauce has thickened. Then put the meat back in the saucepan, season and let it steep for a moment. After about 2 minutes, pour the meat and sauce into the lunch box and garnish with sesame seeds, sesame oil and spring onions.
- Serve the chicken teriyaki with rice and stir-fried vegetables if you like.
