They are not only very tasty, but also extremely healthy thanks to their numerous ingredients. Although nuts are high in fat and calories, they contain good, simple or polyunsaturated fatty acids. In addition, nuts offer important proteins, vitamins, trace elements and dietary fiber. So nuts are a healthy snack to a reasonable extent.
Ingredients for about 12 pieces:
- 300 g of crispy oat flakes
- 50 g halved hazelnuts
- 50 g whole almonds
- 50 g chopped walnuts
- 1 teaspoon of crushed flaxseed
- 50 g margarine
- 80 g of brown sugar
- 80 g honey or agave syrup
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
Preparation:
Mix nuts, oatmeal and flaxseed together.
Then put margarine, honey, sugar and cinnamon in a saucepan. Bring the ingredients to a boil while stirring for about 2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and mix the oatmeal and nut mixture with the hot syrup mixture. Then spread the entire mixture about 1 cm thick on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 150° C top / bottom heat for about 20-25 minutes, until the mixture is firm and lightly browned. Allow to cool, cut into approx. 12 bars and decorate with the melted chocolate as desired.
